1213511 2011-06-30 05:02:00 You've already played with them. Just tell them it's Linux and ask them not to be kept on the scam list. pctek (84)
1213512 2011-06-30 05:05:00 Tell them you have two other computers ( MAC's) that need their "help" and can they do those all at at he same time

1213514 2011-06-30 05:32:00 You've already played with them. Just tell them it's Linux and ask them not to be kept on the scam list.I did that... it didn't work; they shifted from 'scamming me' mode to 'trying to convince me it's not a scam' mode. I hung up on them at 2:34.

what i would give to have this sort of time...I was working at the same time through most of that; they didn't require much input from me - simply trying to figure out KDE was confusing enough for them :devil.

1213515 2011-06-30 05:34:00 That's epic well done for tying them up for so long, it kept them from preying on someone else for a while gary67 (56)
1213516 2011-06-30 06:00:00 Excellent work Grasshopper (or should that be "Glasshopper"?) :clap tuiruru (12277)
1213517 2011-06-30 06:07:00 Had my first this morning a very persistent sounding Indian female. Said she was from Hamilton NZ but didnt know what province Hamilton was in or the name of the river which flows thru it.
Kept asking me to turn on computer and she would show me a virus.

1213518 2011-06-30 06:13:00 Ehh, I got one a few weeks ago, pretty sure it was voice automated though, cause once I stopped trolling him, he kept talking as if I was responding :/

Legendary for keeping them going that long! :D

1213519 2011-06-30 06:25:00 They are also using the slightly different approach -- had a couple of people call me asking why HP (Hewlett-Packard) were calling them - Indian help desk ??

One even said the guy was trying to convince her, their HP injet printer had a nasty virus -- OK ;)
