1212663 2011-06-28 01:22:00 As for our current crop of drop kicks, It was the better of two crap choices.

Yeah, if you do vote, it isn't voting for who you want in power, it's voting for who you don't, the lesser of the two evils.

1212664 2011-06-28 01:25:00 A non-vote gives you no bitchin' rights :) :) Zippity (58)
1212665 2011-06-28 01:29:00 Says who?

You?

Who are you to tell anyone what their rights are?

Weakest dribble I have ever heard. Its only reason is to try and support a system in the face of people not accepting it as a worthy system.

**** the system, tear it apart, build a new one, and when that rots then tear that one apart.

1212666 2011-06-28 01:29:00 Oh *sigh* does that mean I have to vote? I'm not sure if I can go until the next election without complaining about how terrible of a job they're doing in parliament.. :) Empathy. (16382)
1212667 2011-06-28 01:34:00 Noticed that in the by election held last Saturday there was only a 41% turn out of eligible voters so about 20% of total eligible voters got Hone back in again. Snorkbox (15764)
1212668 2011-06-28 01:34:00 Look at this bunch of politicians (www.nzherald.co.nz) , what are they trying to prove?

Appears to me that the reporter has it in for the Nats...She doesnt state what amount because she doesnt know, so she is just making it sound as if they are using the entire budget.....

More irresponsible reporting if you ask me....seriously, the media is getting further and further out of line for the sake of journalism and page hits!

With the amount of fake claims to get attention and their shot at money, and fail information in general, you can't really expect any less from a minor reporter, she just reads or writes up about their fail information ;)

I just don't pay attention to the media, unless of course, it's siding with the side I'm on, then I pay full attention.

1212670 2011-06-28 01:50:00 "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem". Same could be said for voting.

SolMiester, my thoughts exactly... Besides, you can assume the Labour party are most probably doing likewise. They'd be foolish *not* to spend their budget while they have the chance.

1212671 2011-06-28 02:12:00 The reason why I decided NOT to vote simply because, there isn't any politicians who I can trust /capable of managing the nation and lead NZ to a brighter future. Whoever wins the election, it's not going to make any difference, anyway. So, why waste my time going to the polling station (wasting my petrol)? It may sound very pessimistic but I think it's a form of silent protest. Imagine if > 50% of the voters don't turn up to vote, what will that show? bk T (215)

To show you are not just apathetic go to the polling station and cast an invalid vote and write on same, " I trust none of you."

Why be silent about your protest?
