Twenty Questions
How about Animal, Vegetable or Mineral?

I described my dispute in general terms but here are the details

Multifuel stove with wetback $3102
Installation $829
Running for c.6month periods March 2009-Sept.2009
March 2010-Sept.2010
Fired up again March 2011 then needed chimney swept so let it go out May 2001 when I found there was a slight leak in the wetback unit.
Installer claims ignorance of technicalities and I contact manufacturer who says there is only 12 months warranty.
Latest news: The vendor/installer has contacted the local agent who in turn has contacted the manufacturer whose best offer to date is to supply a replacement at wholesale price - $365!!!!!!

So its definitely a Disputes Tribunal.

And before anyone asks why I chose such a useless installer, he was recommended by the local agent.

I thought that lawyers were barred from Disputes Tribunals.

Why do you assume it's the installers fault?
I told you, Disputes go by facts not assumptions.

I'm not assuming its the installers fault. Its his competance in diagnosing the fault that appalls me. He seems to know nothing about wetbacks, kept on saying the leak needed a plumber's attention when it was quite obvious it was inside the stove.
But I take your point.
