Has anyone done this before?? Both are Intel CPU's. The other PC here is just too slow booting (its got a 800 fsb CPU in it at the mo with 4 GB).

1213376 2011-06-29 20:38:00 Windows wouldn't crash.
It might whinge and decide as it's new hardware your COA is invalid. easy enough to fix, just reactivate it.

Will your motherboard support the CPU or are you changing that too?

1213377 2011-06-29 21:38:00 The mobo will support it (it supports 800 to 1600 fsb). So, I'll just replace the CPU Speedy Gonzales (78)
