1214635 2011-07-06 08:07:00 Thankfully flashing Miui means weekly updates with no requirement for Kies

Sadly miui is only in alpha for the galaxy s2 :(

Although support from other developers is growing, almost too many roms to choose from at the moment :D

Can't wait for miui or cm7 on this though, should be worth the wait!

1214636 2011-07-06 11:06:00 I've asked a guy to flash his i9003 with it, I'm actually semi-confident it will.

He hasn't got back to me yet though on the results.

And yeah only initial builds for the S2, but there's been a bit of noise about it lately in IRC etc, so shouldn't be long. The list of supported handsets is growing, and with the S2 being so popular, no doubt it'll be added to the official list before long.

1214637 2011-07-07 20:50:00 According to this (www.theandroidsoul.com)site it won't work with an i9003, there is heaps of people in forums asking about it but haven't really found any places that say it can be done and how. stormdragon (6013)
1214638 2011-07-07 22:57:00 Yes but they're wrong because the Galaxy S i9000 ROM works on the i9000M, i9000B and i9000T with minor issues around the RADIO used (Flashing the Captivate Radio in the case of the i9000T fixes my issues), and also there's the Camera flash / no camera flash issue, but it *still* works. I've flashed the Captivate, Galaxy S, and another phone ROM all on my i9000 and they surprisingly all worked perfectly with the exception of FC's where it tried to make use of the non-existent Camera Flash.

With that in mind, I'd take what that site says with a grain of salt, and I'd personally still suggest it's doable.
