| 1214042 | 2011-07-02 04:16:00 | I've had issues with payment not going through (durring a sale) but nothing like this. That's exactly what my friends said, until it happened to them. Don't worry, it'll happen for you too, eventually. Doubt their forum will help, it's just a bad product. |

| 1214043 | 2011-07-02 04:21:00 | I have been using steam for ages, was just palying CS, it updated within a few minutes and I dont seem to be having an major issues. But it has crashed a few times only when i exit a game. | ronyville (10611) | ||
| 1214044 | 2011-07-02 04:31:00 | Yeah, it's currently fubar'ed for me. Took 20 seconds to try to log in (automatically at startup with saved login details), failed on that, and is now getting nowhere during a manually entered password style of login. Ohh, wait - I'm in after about 2 minutes waiting, but it's handling like a bowl of treacle... very sluggish. Oooh - GTA classics 75% off - gotta go! |

| 1214045 | 2011-07-02 04:47:00 | I hate Steam too. I uninstall it in between Steam games. Bought F3AR recently, had to let it install again, logged in fine, didn't try and update everything in sight this time, game was fine, but - the interface has changed. I remember from last time disabling all sorts of bits and shutting off the update game, start online etc etc. Some of it seems not to be in Steams menu anymore. Ick. But I hate that it wants to patch games without your permission, if I want to patch it I will, but I'd like the choice thank you, not just an automatic patch. |

| 1214047 | 2011-07-02 05:13:00 | I've had issues with payment not going through (durring a sale) but nothing like this. tried the forum? Nah, steam just sucks. I doubt anyone can actually help. I have been using steam for ages, was just palying CS, it updated within a few minutes and I dont seem to be having an major issues. But it has crashed a few times only when i exit a game. Never had any major issues with Valve games myself, but after today's experience it's great. Downloading at 80kb/s is also not great. Made a big mistake, I should have just driven to EB games, paid a few dollars more; end of story. Steam is especially worthless because we have traffic limits. I have no doubt I will even pay far more for it if I actually take traffic into account. I learned my lesson, will never buy from steam again. Such is life. :( I recall Xnet has a Steam mirror, must be good for them. Other NZ ISPs should do the same. |

In any case, having to reinstall tf2 more than 6 times between two computers due to hangs and lockups, I think I might have fixed it by running it as an admin, but jeez. NORMALLY it works fine. |

NORMALLY it works fine. If it works on one PC just copy the folder, don't re-download or even use their built-in backup system. It's all a waste of time. |

| 1214050 | 2011-07-02 22:52:00 | Half Life 2 for $2.49 Half Life 2 Episode 1 $1.49 Half Life 2 Episode 2 $1.49 Bioshock 2 $12.49 I love the prices. Just gotta hate the web interface that is struggling too often. I'll probably delay downloading Bioshock 2 till after the sale ends and their servers are freed up a bit. Already have the HL series thanks to the Orange Box some years ago (and that was a big download bollox at the time as well). But for anyone who doesn't have HL - buy it now, download it in a months time. Still a brilliant deal. |
