2011-11-01 03:05:00 | Disable / turn UAC off. It can cause access denied errors with some programs | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-11-01 03:14:00 | it is already off | shione83 (7126) | |
2011-11-01 03:20:00 | Did you install any firewall (besides using windows firewall)? Unless the plugins arent compatible. What version of Photoshop is it? And is it x86 or x64 windows 7? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-11-01 03:25:00 | yep. i use zonealarm ...and its x64 with sp1 | shione83 (7126) | |
2011-11-01 03:27:00 | Kill zonealarm see what happens. I would use Win7's firewall. At least it blocks in and out | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-11-01 03:49:00 | ok still nothing...and zonealarm blocks both ways...doesnt it?? | shione83 (7126) | |
2011-11-01 03:56:00 | Well yeah ZA does but its crap | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-11-01 04:57:00 | Doubt its anything to do with the firewall. Error creating temporary directory: Access is denied Thats a permission problem normally. Is it trying to put the files in the Temp Directory or someplace else, there will be a path its trying to access. Check out the file permissions on the TEMP folder. Click start, in the search box, type in %Temp% (exactly like that) Right click the result, "open Folder Location" Right click the folder, Properties, On the General Tab, unselect Read only -- then on the security Tab, click your user name, in the window below, make sure you have ticks on all permissions, the only one you shouldn't have is special Permissions. If you dont have ticks on every permission, then with your user name selected, click edit, and tick the permissions. You may need to reboot, try installing the files again. Does it work ?
