1240697 2011-10-29 05:51:00 Hi,

I have a Toshiba Laptop L750 with Windows Home Premium 64 bit.

I would like to use a LCD monitor by connecting to my laptop and hence I have two monitors.

How do I do this?

Thanks

1240698 2011-10-29 06:45:00 look on the side panels on the laptop, on the left there will be a monitor connection ( just looked up the model). Some times they just go once plugged in, other times theres a key combo to press, normally FN + one of the F keys along the top. ( try F5)

Attachment shows ports :) us.toshiba.com << Click Video Tab

1240699 2011-10-29 09:24:00 if your laptop is running windows 7, press and hold down the Windows key whilst pressing P, and you'll be given four simple options to chose from: computer only; duplicate; extend; and projector only.

You will most likely want the extend option, once you have that set you can right click on the desktop, select screen resolution and choose which monitor you want the desktop to be displayed on and set the correct resolution if it has not all ready been set

Note: I'm pretty sure that the key combo can be configured. I have used laptops when it was alt+tab (which renders its usual function useless sadly) if windows+p doesn't work try that.
