2011-11-05 23:36:00 | I Have a weirdy for the experts. I've been plagued withn continual and persistent errors when trying to send or receive e-mails from outlook. After silently calling down heavenly wrath of the gods upon the heads of my ISP - Telecom I finally reverted to the Telecom web mail system to get a mail sent (and multiple incoming messages.) This worked OK yesterday. But then after coming back to my normal system, my send/receive in outlook was OK. I thought that T/Com had got "their" prob fixed in the meantime. Today - exactly same problem so entered web mail and after returning to normal outlook email - all well again. Query - why on earth should e-mail from Outlook be unuseable with POP3 and Send for all day but be fixed by simply going into webmail and returning ? I'd appreciate any suggestions but I'm unable to think of the connection between the two events.

2011-11-07 04:50:00 | Thanks PCT As far as I can remember - one of two windows initially - "pop3" Enter Password which I do or cancel, this followed by similar but "send" enter password etc when this is done, another window "server unable to recognise password or something like that. This then followed by the whole lot over again. I don't know about an alternate or where to find it.It's been OK today - quite a change

2011-12-19 09:21:00 | Yes I have had problems with outlook over the last week intermittently. Telecom is the problem, their servers have not been recognising passwords. I always get the same message "send/receive error" and the detail pop3 server does not recognise your password yet later in the day it corrects itself and the mail comes through. I checked the status of the ISP for email and sure enough they said their technicians were working on the problem. I had no problem bringing up web pages | dianne pierce (13385) | |
2011-12-19 09:28:00 | I have been having problems with Telecom mail ... receiving only, and I think there were others having the same problem. I think it may be a Telecom problem, but seems to have resolved its self late today ... fingers crossed. | SP8's (9836) | |

2011-12-19 19:44:00 | Still getting the intermittent send/receive error and sometimes asking for username and password; using Outlook 2010 with Telecom. Phoned Telecom's helpdesk a couple of times and as usual, they said that they don't have any network problem. What the @#% is the CEO doing, with few $million /year, can't even fix a email problem!

2011-12-19 19:54:00 | I'm paying him every month and it's his responsibility to deal with whatever/whoever is doing the job - not my problem. Problem is, there isn't any 'better' ISP in NZ, sadly.
