| 1215286 | 2011-07-07 00:18:00 | Hi all, not sure if this should be here or in help section, however Toms (who i rarely visit) actually has some very good new charts up comparing CPU since 2005 clocked at 3ghz with only 1 core and not HT or turbo modes.... Check out IPC improvements, Netburst to Core is an amazing 98%...!! Sorry to say but AMD really has gone nowhere! Toms 3ghz CPU comparison (www.tomshardware.com) |

Not to mention the processor fan was horribly noisy also until I put an after-market one on - the whine from it used to do my head in after about 4 hours solid of it. lol Now I'm just putting together 2 identical i7 2600's for a client, just got the first one assembled and Win 7Pro 64 installed ... soooo nice, I want one :drool Nice link SM, cheers :thumbs: |
