| 1216171 | 2011-07-12 04:14:00 | LED is better, 3 reasons. Lower power consumption, smaller physical footprint and better contrast because of the LED backlighting. The actual panels the manufacturers are using are pretty much identical though. They are generally still quite a bit dearer though, but in another year or so that's all that will be around in the big stores. Harvey Norman in Wellington yesterday had a 55" Sony LED TV for $2600. I couldn't fit it on the plane home though.... :crying |
