1242589 2011-11-09 06:50:00 Ok, so I was trying to follow a tutorial on how to access hulu without a proxy server and I seem to have messed up all of my network settings .

The tutorial is -

lifehacker . com/5583515/access-hulu-from-outside-the-us-without-a-proxy-server

Which sent me here:
www . scribd . com/doc/22398177/How-to-Block-TCP-UDP-Ports-Using-IPsec-in-Windows

Which is where I think I've messed up . I started it, got lost, deleted the policy and exited . I now only get 'the webpage is unavailable' error message in chrome and the equivlent in internet explorer and firefox .

I tried restoring to a restore point, but it hasn't made a difference .

Help! (please :))

1242593 2011-11-09 09:13:00 Is it actually showing as being connected ( two computers in the notification area) and is t getting an IP address -- click start, Run, type in cmd, then ipconfig

Does it give a address from the router, as well as the default gateway OR does it give a address of 169.254.xxx.xxx
