1242573 2011-11-09 00:58:00 I want to install the drivers for a laser printer I have access to but looking at the site and selecting Vista option I am still confused there are too many choices. It’s a HP Laserjet3055 All in one Printer
Can someone advise which one out of the many I select to download.

I have a choice of :
Driver, Driver-Product Installation Software, Driver /’universal Driver/ Software Universal Print Driver and a few more but I’ve elimated them

The site is
h20000.www2.hp.com

I have Vista, I/E 8
Many thanks

1242575 2011-11-09 02:52:00 Ta I just had a further look under that category and theres 3 choices , PCL5, PCL6 and postscript, they're all pretty large 17-19mb.
Under just "Driver" theres some of 7mb that say Driver packages and others of 33mb saying Plug and Play scan Print driver package

1242576 2011-11-09 06:52:00 Try the PCL6 full 33MB one. The small ones may only do printing not scanning etc. You can always uninstall and try others!

Agree, pretty confusing.

1242577 2011-11-09 07:15:00 Thanks.
After I googled I worked out that PCL6 was newer, that was a start and I only wanted to use it for bulk printing so didn't bother with scanning option.
I then had a choice of Run or Save picked run, them found out I should of picked save. Couldnt find it any where. Then found instrctions to install from Printer file "add printer". And I couldnt believe it, just printed a test pg it works.
Alas as the exe is somewhere in a temp file I'll probably loose it and have to reinstall. Time for a rest
