1242203 2011-11-05 23:38:00 What is the best way to run the Registry cleaner, always a bit afraid of loosing something in spite of back up? Cicero (40)
1242204 2011-11-06 00:41:00 I've never had any probs with the reg cleaner. I just delete all of it / whatever appears. Windows is still working alright. I wouldnt do the same with any other reg cleaner tho Speedy Gonzales (78)
1242205 2011-11-06 00:43:00 Second that - no problems at all. Peter H (220)
1242206 2011-11-06 01:39:00 Never had a problem in 3 years of daily cleanup without backing up blanco (11336)

1242208 2011-11-06 04:50:00 +1 for ccleaner.
I trust it now to the point of not bothering to do the back up.

1242209 2011-11-06 08:55:00 It is good, but I know what the OP means.

I tell it not to clean my Office applications as it deletes some settings I have.

And also may not want to delete all the cookies or you loose your saved passwords.

Are you aware of cookies under options?

1242211 2011-11-06 19:21:00 You wont lose your passwords, unless saved passwords under windows is ticked. Deleting cookies, wont remove a password for good. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1242212 2011-11-06 23:08:00 Yes, so what I mean is for a new user, Are all the options ticked or unticked ?

I can't remember now as I've had ccleaner for years now.
