1217115 2011-07-15 09:48:00 Lately I find my half finished emails suddenly taking off and delivering themselves without my permission.
I have managed to trace it down to using the enter key.
If I hit "enter" off the thing goes - is no longer a draft - but is in my SENT listing.

Well I use the enter key a lot in my normal work and I'm sure this has never happened before until recently. Trying to write an email without using the enter key I find just about impossible.

I use "Outlook Express" and have done for years with no problems.
I have looked for some option to control this with no success.
Its irritating having to send my emails off in bits!
Anybody able to help me?

1217116 2011-07-15 10:13:00 If you have to use M$ products, write the letter in Notepad or whatever the dark side uses to write stuff, copy - paste it into Lookout Expire and then let the enter key do it's worst. (Swear at Bill Gate$ and that Moron Balmee he left minding the store if that helps.) R2x1 (4628)
1217117 2011-07-15 10:23:00 Looks like you have OE set to send/receive automatically. Check the setting options. CliveM (6007)

This. CTRL+Enter is the standard shortcut to send the current message.

Press Enter in Word, and if it creates a new page instead of moving to the next line, then it's definitely the Ctrl key sticking.

I have checked my Ctrl key - no problem there.
So now to try the enclosed.
But where is OE - I cannot find it or anything that has "send receive automatically"

I am now turning my modem off while typing which works of course but still Outlook Express saves to the OUTBOX file not Draft.
