1216574 2011-07-13 08:33:00 What is the story with MP3 players etc.?

Friend say she paid $90 for an MP3 unit, that includes speakers, this is just for background music not for main CD player.

Not sure what is meant by MP3 player, would be nice for that price if it could take CD's and usb drive.

This would be for use in our day room, sound quality not paramount.

Thanks lads.

1216575 2011-07-13 08:39:00 So you want a mini system with a cd player and usb input?

Something like this?

I was rather taken by her price tag,90 buckeroos.
I would be able to supplement the unit with some 100watt PC speakers.!

We have all the good stuff via Denon, this I would like to be unobtrusive, like the mini system, but at a better price.
