They were going for like $40... When I was 14 I worked all through all of the holidays I had (I even missed a family vacation) and used all of the Christmas money and birthday money I had saved for ever to buy a decent computer. Problem: No money. Solution: Get a job. |

In the long term get a better education(don't spend too much time on computers) and the options are awesome. From an oldie who spends too much time on computers! |

The only significant increase in speed you will get is if you buy the fastest AGP card possible, and that will clearly be more than you can afford right now, if you get extra cash maybe you can afford it, but it will still be a waste of money overall. Perhaps a better strategy would be to forget about playing the latest games now, and invest in some older games (there are lots, and a lot of them are very good, and 2nd hand they will be cheap too) and start saving towards a big upgrade for later when you're actually allowed to do so. |
