They installed fine, however windows did not accept them as they were unsigned. It also reduced my screen size, so I have rolled back the original ones again.

1243539 2011-11-14 23:57:00 It will be a setting within your display driver properties, changing drivers isn't resisting the config file.

Look for any tabs that are set to performance, slide em over to quality, And disable whatever funky ATI AI settings you can find.

I assume catalyst control center is launching?

1243540 2011-11-15 00:00:00 I haven't got an ATI control panel I can look at here but find the setting for "Mipmap Detail Level" and put it to quality, and turn off texture downscaling if you have that option. Metla (12)

I don't have Catalyst Control Center anymore. I removed it after having issues with the Toshiba site driver update. Should I re-download it and hope that I can change the settings in there?

1243542 2011-11-15 00:17:00 EDIT: It didn't work, thanks for the suggestion though! I just get the same error message that I did months ago when trying to install the ati drivers

What program gave that error?

If you're trying to use the ATi driver download wizard, don't, it will never work.

I believe you need to download the driver package manually, try here: support.amd.com

And that is the problem. Months ago when I tried updating my drivers from the amd website, I spent hours trying to figure out why the legitimate drivers from the amd website would not install. I ended up phoning Toshiba only to hear that they modify the chipset meaning drivers from amd will *never* work, so I am instead reliant on Toshiba putting out drivers themselves. I still can't believe how stupid this is, guess it is all just marketing bs.

I am now downloading the Catalyst Control Center as Metla suggested to see if I can change the settings and hopefully fix this damn problem!

1243544 2011-11-15 00:38:00 UPDATE:

I have fixed it!!!

Metla you bloody legend, your suggestion worked.

I downloaded the Catalyst Control center and low and behold the mipmapping setting was on performance. Having changed it back to quality the games now have no pixelation and look great!

Thank you very much for your help!
