Regards,

Lurking.I did - my link points to a post with detailed, step-by-step instructions :).

If you're saying my post isn't clear enough, could you give me a hint what's missing?

1216749 2011-07-16 07:31:00 Right - found how to do it on Chrome:

1. Go to: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\User StyleSheets.

2. Open or create the file 'custom.css' in Notepad.

3. Copy and paste the ad-blocking code into the file.

Sorry if the instructions are not clear, I'm not very good at writing them :o

Erayd, PJ's initial post has the hint in the last paragraph.

1216753 2011-07-16 11:53:00 Or, using the same browser (or Chrome), get the AdBlockPlus Element Hiding Helper addon/extension. Then you can choose which bits of the page to hide (or unhide, if you cock it up like I have on many occasions!)...

Can you elaborate a bit? I'm getting bupkis with it so far.

Edit, nevermind, got the hang of it.

Regards,

Lurking.I'm sorry, I still honestly have no idea why my guide isn't sufficient - it's quite possible I'm simply not understanding something fundamental in what you're trying to tell me.

I'm more than happy to help, but it's a little hard to do that when I have no idea what the helpee actually requires, and nobody will tell me where my initial response fails to address the issue.

1216755 2011-07-16 23:51:00 I don't recall installing any ad-blocking. All I see here is a single banner across the top of the page (which disapperas once I scroll down) and easy-to-ignore banners down the right side of the screen.

Frankly, I'm oblivious to their presence and they don't bother me in the slightest.

Letters of one syllable I think Poppa John stated.

Erayd, I'm ok, you made it work for me, (much appreciated again) and I had the wrong PressF1 linkage if you remember.

Lurking.
