| 1243761 | 2011-11-15 21:11:00 | Hi, I have just installed tyhe latest ATI drivers from the PCWorld November 2011 DVD. After instalation I found that the resolution setting I was using (1920 x 1080) increases the size of my desktop to larger than my screen. I need to reduce the resolution to 1776 x 1000 so that I can view the full screen - I now have a gap of about 1/2" between the desktop display and the normally viewable area of screen. The screen Auto button wont reset the screen size. The System is an HPE 195a quad core i7 with an ATI HD 7500 1GB card using an HP 2309m screen. Thanks in advance. Regards Phil |

You may have to remove them, and reload the originals HP's site - your model (h10025.www1.hp.com) ( although they should be in a hidden folder on the C drive) PS: welcome to PF1 :) |

| 1243767 | 2011-11-15 22:48:00 | Check in the ATI control panel under 'flat panel scaling'. That may need to be adjusted - first set the resolution you want, then adjust the scaling to suit. | wratterus (105) | ||
| 1243768 | 2011-11-16 01:19:00 | ^^ pretty much that. I change my laptop between my samsung tv and my sony, both need different scaling options to make it fit despite the same resolutions being displayed. As of a few drivers ago, fixed recently, my scaling settings would not hold for the samsung but worked fine on the other tv. So yeah they sort of break things one month fix more the next. | 8ftmetalhaed (14526) | ||
