Thanks.

1244381 2011-11-20 07:05:00 iOS is the software that works in the background (like Windows) for Apple iPhones.
Windows Mobile something .... is the software that is designed by Microsoft. Some phones support like the upcoming Nokia's and one or two models of HTC phones and others .....

Android phones like most of the Samsung, LG, HTC, etc etc ... uses a software called Android.

Re: slow. I guess that with a small screen you will be scrolling left right up and down a lot. So it is not that nice to read a 10pg A4 of something ......
All the phones open TEXT I think. You can also download Adobe Reader for smartphones if yours don't have it. I have seen them on Androids, the older Nokia's which runs Symbian software and now read that Windows Mobile does it too ......

Edit. Apple iTouch is like a iPhone but it cannot take a simcard, so cannot make calls or text unless you are using Skype for example. Also if you have no Wifi reception you cannot just switch to cellphone mode.
