1217822 2011-07-19 23:45:00 This has been a long time coming and is finally all working. After a few installation issues over the last few weeks JDA have completed work on installing the Freeview HD equipment at Popoiti.

This is now providing Freeview HD to the Wairarapa - just in time for the rugby world cup!!

In case people don't know.....If you currently have a UHF aerial, turn it 90 degrees clockwise (if you live in Masterton) and this should now pick up the digital signal. (of course you will need a seperate terrestrial decoder or built in freeview in your TV for it to work)

1217825 2011-07-20 10:20:00 Now to get my folks to tune their TV over the phone. This might be a long phone call. pine-o-cleen (2955)
1217826 2011-07-20 10:34:00 Considering the absolute rubbish being broadcast under the freeview brand I can't see how higher detail improves upon the experience.

Perhaps if they shut down the entire service and shot everyone involved?

That's what I'm voting for.
