1219822 2011-07-29 03:07:00 Mainly because windows has to move ram/swap file storage around and Aero. Games don't support it (although you can and some games handle it better than others).

Windows disables aero when a game is full screen so it has to activate aero when you alt tab to the desktop.

Using dual displays is another way around games not supporting alt tab.

1219823 2011-07-29 20:38:00 Yeah, even on a wired KB and mouse the Alt-Tab routine in and out of a fullscreen game can be laborious, slow and painfull... depending on your specs a bit as well.

If you give it 30 sec or so you should be fine.

Personally, I just find it easier to stay in the game and to forget about anything else going on in Windows... let that email wait til you're done gaming!

1219824 2011-07-29 22:00:00 Sorry guys, this is not a genuine question.

This question has been ripped from another forum and used as an excuse to add spammy wireless links in their signature.

It is a dirty tactic as people start to suspect new people and it wastes member's time who think they are trying to help a genuine request.

Let's see if karma works ....
