1219063 2011-07-27 06:39:00 Is the computer made in communist china or Nationalist China?\Sorry, trying to see significance of that?
Well the made in communist china stuff is junk and made in Nationalist China (Taiwan) stuff is generally ok. Do you see the significance now?

1219064 2011-07-27 06:46:00 Problem is with lesser powered ( what ever they are, notebooks, PC's etc) people who dont know, only see the price $$$$$.

There may be two computers sitting beside one another in the shop, both look the same yet ones a lot more expensive. Some of the toaster shop sales people only read the spec's off the stickers - which means nothing to the purchaser. Oh its a good one, plenty of power (insert tuis ad).;)

Seen many customers purchase cheap warehouse budget PC's, then are baffled why it wont play the latest 3D games junior wants to play.

I feel a bit awkward or advising that the PC they just brought with no knowledge from the sales people is NOT a gaming computer :badpc:

I've also seen people buy netbooks, then want to run higher powered applications on them, but cant. If they had spent a few more $$ and got a more powerful Laptop it would have been a better out come.

I've given up and just let people suffer with what they bought. Numerous times I have put a quote in and advised people what they were getting for the extra $$ but they still go for the cheap sh!t and then are disappointed.

1219066 2011-07-27 09:31:00 1)It's an ASUS. Not exactly complete junk.

2)It's not yet 2 years old, should last at least 2 years - even for a wee netbook.

3)The shop it came from have a nasty policy of not honouring standard warranty, never mind CGA cases.

4)Disputes will decide.

1219067 2011-07-27 09:38:00 The Asus Eee PC's & Top only have a (manufactures) 1 year global warranty, but yes it should last at least two - three years with normal usage.

The Laptop series B / G / N / P / U 2 year global
