1245979 2011-11-29 00:50:00 Thanks for that help - so if there is no USB port, how do you get "stuff" onto the device? Bryden (4161)

1245981 2011-11-29 01:48:00 Depends what stuff you want? I think you're possibly getting confused between a USB Data cable to transfer things to it (eg plug it in to your PC and it shows as a Thumbdrive / HDD) and a "USB Host Port".
A USB Host Port will allow you to plug in other devices such as a Gamepad / Joystick, a USB Thumbdrive, an external CD Drive, a scanner or camera....

The majority of 'general users' probably wouldn't use the "USB Host Port" functionality, but rather just the USB Data cable that *all* of the aforementioned devices support, Galaxy Tab included :)

1245982 2011-11-29 02:13:00 Oh you are so right.... I wouldn't want to use the tablet with other devices... only trouble is, this throws the Galaxy back into the equation! VBG Thanks again - Bryden (4161)
1245983 2011-11-29 02:20:00 Here's my suggestion:
Try the Transformer. See if you like it. It has everything you can do on the Galaxy Tab (With the exception of 3G).

If you like it, buy it. If you don't, THEN look at hunting around for an alternative ;-)
