1220089 2011-08-01 08:49:00 In Windows 7 that takes me to the home page in Firefox as well... the keyboard shortcut you're looking for is Windows+Home :p

Thanks for pointing that out. My ThinkPad has it mapped to the Windows Key and I thought it would be the same on my external keyboard (which I happened to be using) .

1220090 2011-08-02 12:45:00 Right, fouund another one:

Ctrl-Backspace deletes letters up to the nearest character, therefore:

pcworld.co.nz/showthread

will become

pcworld.co.nz/

with ctrl-backspace.

It seems useful when deleting parts of a URL - it ignores underscores FYI

1220092 2011-08-02 23:20:00 I find a sledgehammer useful when I have forgotten my key, makes a handy shortcut instead of having to wake SWMBO to let me in :lol: gary67 (56)
