| 1221220 | 2011-08-06 08:39:00 | Godaddy who I usually get domains off is pricing them at $59.49 (USD), domainz.net.nz says 52.89... A random reseller called "Only Domains" is selling for 15.90??? Why such a massive difference in prices? Is there a registrar you guys would recommend?? ------------------------------------------------- Slightly off topic, what is the legal status on registering a domain under a company whose name isn't registered yet? For example, "Cato's Awesome Aqueduct Construction" - "cato-aqueduct.co.nz", however the company doesn't exist, but I plan register it in the coming months? Can I register this kinda of domain?? |

| 1221222 | 2011-08-06 09:13:00 | You can register any .nz domain you want (except for protected suffixes like .govt.nz, .mil.nz etc.). You don't have to have a company, or anything like that. Right now, you could register "cato-pressf1.co.nz" for example if you wanted. I've used: DiscountDomains Domains4Less Hosting Direct (in that order) for .nz domains before, and haven't found much difference between them. |
