1221214	2011-08-07 07:30:00	I once spent a short period with an American Infantry Battalion. They were amazing people. They all had a rich Uncle Sam who paid for everything. We Kiwis were taught to be very frugal and so we did not waste anything. At one stage I helped an American Lieutenant who was getting petrol drums ready for refilling. His instructions were, "Pour it on the ground, Uncle Sam is paying." I was not having any of this, so I used the petrol to refuel our vehicles, rather than waste it or pollute the ground. It comes from an E-Mail that has been doing the rounds and all but those who lead the most sheltered of lives would have already read. :rolleyes: You’ll note it was headed “For your consideration” and then the E-Mail pasted. There is nobody to thank or acknowledge other than possibly my brother-in-law who has forwarded a number of similar ones. Thank you Dale. So, ignoring Terry and Marty who have a problem with the messenger, does anybody have a problem with the message? Personally, like others I think it would be very interesting to see NZ’s and Aus’s finances calculated in the same manner.	B.M. (505)
