1220665 2011-08-03 09:45:00 Have a look around your house, I am sure there are many things in there worth more than $200 that I would think was a waste of money.

I will wait and buy the special edition jersey with RWC2011 World Champions emblazoned on it.

But you did not give any reason as to why you would spend that much money on a football jersey.

And why did you spend $200 on that dress that you are wearing? Or those high heel shoes, or that sexy lingeree......

Why do people spend thousands on models trains, stamps, old cars, antique vases?

How much did you spend on alcohol this year? I spent $0 for the last 25years. How much did spend on your last car? Did you spend more than $1000? I didn't.

I have already purchased a Warriors jersey, why? Because I want to, it made me feel good. The same reason your husband bought you that 10" dildo. To make you feel good.

1220667 2011-08-03 21:45:00 Heard on talk-back (not a reliable source) that these Jerseys could be costing the NZ retailer about $55 dollars from a wholesaler. Maybe freight, GST and other costs needs to be taken into account.

Quite a markup involved.

Not GST and freight. In the UK they have 17% GST I believe and they still have to freight it to there.. So It's the case of the good olde NZ rip off again. This along with HP this week say that kiwis will be quite happy to pay 40% more than the US for their new tablet or Apple still charging about 100% more than the US for their products here..

Guess Adidas have learned from the NZ dairy and meat producers that kiwis don't mind being ripped off all the time.

1220669 2011-08-03 22:20:00 I can buy a black t-shirt from KMart or The Warehouse for under $10, not sure what the big deal is ... inphinity (7274)
1220670 2011-08-03 22:23:00 To some people, an inflated price is in itself an inducement to buy, indicating great worth . Sideshow spruikers, clergymen, car dealers and Apple have relied on this for quite some time - they won't go broke by underestimating the . . . . R2x1 (4628)
1220671 2011-08-03 23:31:00 New Zealand rugby fans aren't the only ones unhappy with the price of the new All Blacks jersey - some retailers are "furious" too.

True the UK has 17%GST or VAT as its called over there, however if your having it sent here from there you don't pay the VAT only postage same as if your over there and buy from here. Not sure if it's still the case in the UK but when I l grew up there you did not pay VAT on kids clothes or shoes great for me as I am small, also there is no VAT on books which is what makes the book depository so cheap to buy from along with the high $

Yesterday, adidas New Zealand's country manager David Huggett said the cost disparity between New Zealand and overseas was in part due to currency fluctuations.
Considering the exchange rate at the moment I think they are a bunch of BSing bars!ards.
