| 1220282 | 2011-08-01 21:25:00 | Yes well look at Zimbabwes economy. However, I read about Andorra (briefly) in a magazine so looked it up. The mag said 0%, that was a couple of years ao. What was interesting is they are a wee country with a population of about 85000, they have healthcare, they even have welfare, they're not like a 3rd world country. They do all the usual things the rest of us do. They only sell sheep and tobacco and do a bit of tourism. Hmm, bit like NZ? But their govt earns more than they spend. How unusual. 2.9% now, they did import some workers a while back and I guess they got the recession like the rest of Europe, but I'd say they're doing well. Why can't we? |

| 1220284 | 2011-08-01 23:20:00 | Why can't we? We insist on living beyond our means and we have had a series of Govt's that really haven't had a clue. They have done nothing to try and retain manufacturing here and in actual fact Trade and Industry have done the reverse. |

| 1220285 | 2011-08-02 01:30:00 | New Zealand 6.6 March 2011 :o That doesnt include those moved onto 'sickness benefit' , A more important figure is the % on any sort of welfare, govt handout etc. That would be a scarey % for NZ :banana |

| 1220287 | 2011-08-03 00:42:00 | The unemployment rates around here are wildly variable. Some are are 100% unemployed while their neighbours are 0% unemployed. The TAB seems to be able to pick the difference quite well. |
