1220354 2011-08-01 05:25:00 If anyone is using Superantispyware DONT upgrade to the new version via the auto updates.

There is a bug in the latest program upgrade, that more or less stuffs it on most PC's.

The definitions appear to be fine ( done manually), but the program update is a No-No.

So far had several cases where this has happened - The Super antispyware forum (forums.superantispyware.com) has plenty of people complaining as well. Personally I've had two PC's crap out with the software, running system restore back to before the upgrade does fix it.

Hopefully they will bring out a patch soon

1220357 2011-08-01 12:48:00 Thanks Wainui, I wondered why my laptop was becoming erratic. Dumped SAS (with difficulty) and all seems well again. Will reinstall when I hear it has been fixed. nerd89 (14761)
1220358 2011-08-01 20:59:00 From Superantispyware forums:
We have located and resolved the problem. This ONLY happens on 64 bit systems, and with users running an older SASCORE64.EXE. This is one of those issues that is hard to find in standard "testing". We are updating the 4.56 package now (testing, then releasing) so that the issue won't happen. We apologize for the inconvenience and I will update this thread when the new 4.56 is ready. We appreciate everyone alerting us!
