1222246 2011-08-10 06:56:00 Because CDMA is being phased out next year. I am looking at going with 2 Degrees. Are they any good? Any problems? QW. (15883)
1222247 2011-08-10 06:58:00 I love 2 Degrees, the magic tops are great.
Never had any issues with them.

1222248 2011-08-10 07:00:00 Cheaper than Telecom? QW. (15883)
1222249 2011-08-10 07:13:00 And better. R2x1 (4628)
1222250 2011-08-10 07:14:00 hmm, I have never compared them, but with the magic topups you do get cheaper calling to some NZ numbers for a month and 100 or more texts depending on how much you top up nedkelly (9059)
1222251 2011-08-10 07:29:00 I've been unsure whether the 2 Degrees plans offer a low user like myself value.

Currently my Telecom plan simply costs me for each call or txt. I rarely use either, so the only expense is to pay for those occasional uses with a topup.

However, everything I've read about 2 Degrees suggests their plans are all on a monthly pay & use it or lose it scheme - which might be ok for heavy users, but would suck for my 2 or 3 calls/txts per month.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The other factor is coverage - my bro found his 2 Degree phone had no coverage out in the middle of nowhere where he lives... a factor to consider if remote from towns or travelling about a lot.

1222252 2011-08-10 07:36:00 Been on 2degrees for about a week, their data plans are cheap :D pcuser42 (130)

1222254 2011-08-10 07:54:00 2 degrees cost me about half what Vodafone did. Both prepaid. Coverage is slightly better than Vfone, better than XT (I have a work XT phone). Port your old number to 2 degrees and you don't lose calls. nerd89 (14761)

9cent texts to any mobile for casual users without a text plan, compared to telecoms 20cents.
