1221369 2011-08-07 06:40:00 So where is the wierdest place anyone has been to celebrate a wedding?
I am going to one on the 19th, up Mt Ruapehu by a waterfall in the snow. I think maybe the waterfall will be frozen, so will look pretty cool! Son is best man.

This wedding a few years ago now was on board the Taupo Cat at Kaiapo Bay. All us guests boarded at Taupo without knowing anything more. The bride to be was not on board, and conjecture ran high. On arrival at the bay, Phil Funnell put in an appearance and delivered the bride onto the shore by chopper from where she was transferred to the party boat by dinghy. Marriage ceremony on board and local Taupo light aircraft did a formation fly past. A great venue and brilliant event. :)

One morning driving to Auckland, we were in the Karangahake Gorge area, which is between Waihi and Paeroa. Across the river we could see a bridal party heading along the walking track. It was a beautiful day and would have been in a wonderful setting.
