2011-08-13 02:11:00 | The Malaise that is Britain: Another excellent article by Peter Oborne; www.telegraph.co.uk Its not just 13 years of Nu Labour, they merely ensured the problem created in the preceding 30 years could mature into the rioting and looting seen in the week past in several cities in Britain. Incidently, not all the rioters and looters were the poor unemployed disadvantaged coloured races and immigrants, amongst the looters a number of white employed oppotunists, who took advantage of the unrest to go on a looting spree. It is these looters who have been caught who are being dealt with severely by the courts. An 18 yo white university student who stole a carton of bottled water from a supermarket got 6 months gaol.

2011-08-13 10:45:00 | The races generally don't like each other. Not when living in close proximity, they put up with each other. Like a cat & dog do in the same house. It's always simmering just below the surface. There are exceptions, but not many. Look at the Japanese. See how they all reacted after the tsunami. How many other countries around the world would you get the same. As I understand it, you can't live there permanently, unless you were born there or marry a Japanese | Phil B (648) | |

2011-08-13 20:11:00 | The Telegraphs article is spot on. But it is very easy to say those things and it is another to bring them into play. How do you force parents to be good parents. How do you create millions of jobs over night ? Especially when in politics you always have a left and right which are just about equally strong. (witness the USA at the moment)

2011-08-13 20:50:00 | I suggest they seek guidance from Lee Kuan Yew on handling Rioting and Looting. ;) I bet those that survived and were caught wouldnt do it twice.

As I understand it, you can't live there permanently, unless you were born there or marry a Japanese All of above very correct, there are Koreans in Japan left over from the war and the Japs wont have anything to do with them. They have to look after themselves. They dont help themselves though by keeping remnants of their own old culture instead of blending in. When I go somewhere else I try and act like a native. I dont try and pretend I am at Nelson when I am in Africa. |
