| 1222266 | 2011-08-10 11:41:00 | However, everything I've read about 2 Degrees suggests their plans are all on a monthly pay & use it or lose it scheme - which might be ok for heavy users, but would suck for my 2 or 3 calls/txts per month. Please correct me if I'm wrong. They are promoting their PayMonthly plans quite a bit, but they are a pre-pay network at their heart. Have been since day dot. In a quiet patch, $20 can last me up to three months. Their pre-pay rates are fairly simple, IIRC they're something like this; 9c texts to any NZ network (and some international mobiles) 44c calling to any NZ network (incl. landlines) and some international landlines and mobiles (see here (www.2degreesmobile.co.nz) for details) when you top up, you get 100 free texts (more if you top up more than $20) (any NZ network), 2c texts to 2degrees (however it will use your free texts first) and 22c calls to 2degrees mobiles and NZ landlines (plus some international landlines and mobiles, but not NZ mobiles), all of which are valid for 30 days. More info at www.2degreesmobile.co.nz and www.2degreesmobile.co.nz |

| 1222268 | 2011-08-10 21:15:00 | I am still on Voda because 2D can't match my current plan which gives me 90 mins of talk time a month for $17 plus 80 texts. I use all of the talk time every month and hardly ever use all the texts, I prefer to talk to people. I would like to swap to 2D as I would prefer to support a NZ business but its not financially viable to change yet when I am getting calls at 20c a minute | gary67 (56) | ||
| 1222269 | 2011-08-10 21:33:00 | I switched from Voda prepay to 2D prepay a few months ago. $19 a month gets me 2500 txt to any network, 30 mins talktime and 50MB data which isn't too bad at all imo. |

Also, I believe that 2 Degrees charges voice calls to the nearest minute, which means that if you make a call that lasts 61 seconds, you will be charged for 120 seconds.... So your xx minutes per month may not last as long as on another network and you might not be getting the deal you think you are. |
