1248064 2011-12-10 15:48:00 Hello,

I'm looking to block all inbound and outbound connections on my PC except when they're routed through a specific VPN. Ideally I'd like to be able to only allow the VPN program I'm using to connect to the internet and then everything else on my PC has to go through that. The VPN program I'm using is HMA (http://hidemyass.com/) on Windows 7 SP1.

I've heard SOCAT (www.dest-unreach.org) can potentially do what I'd like however I haven't been able to figure out how to use it despite reading a lengthy amount on the site. Any alternatives or even help on getting SOCAT to work would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tracer

Any particular firewall you'd recommend? I've tried blocking all programs with the Windows firewall however that also blocks the VPN program despite creating an inbound and outbound exception for it.
