1468330 2020-04-22 09:32:00 Here we go, lets change the name of a known product. It was grrrrrr enough that MS called the online mail Outlook when they had Outlook ( the Program) in Office.

Now Office 365 has changed to Microsoft 365.

Here's word Opening:

While no big changes some are helpful (maybe) with more to be integrated at some stage.

1468332 2020-04-22 23:36:00 Interesting. I'm on Office preview on one of my Win 10 partitions and just did an Office update to Version 2005 Build 12816-20006 and it still shows Office 365 on the Word slash screen but my wife's normal version shows Version 2003 build 12624-20466 and it has to new splash screen. paulw (1826)
1468333 2020-04-25 06:04:00 I am on Office 365
Yearly sub.
I do not mind the name change.
What upsets me is that they no longer include Access in the deal.

I and millions of other people throughout the world have used Access for years.
And for the last few years they have hardly done any work on it.

At the moment my Access is stil going.
It would be nice if Microsoft made an official announcement.

1468334 2020-04-27 23:29:00 My Microsoft 365 personal still includes Access. The Access splash screen showed Office 365 yesterday, but has updated to Microsoft 365 this morning. Everything working as expected. ninox (17264)

1468337 2020-04-28 20:11:00 Phew
Yes it still works

I read the other day, that Microsoft don't put it on their splash screens etc, as many people don't know what it is, or have no need for a database.

1468338 2020-04-29 04:04:00 I am about to cancel my annual subscription due to Covid-19 caused financial constraints. I presume everything will remain but I will get no updates, such as they are. Richard (739)

The software will continue to work until such time that your annual subscription is due for renewal, then you'll get another month at most I think.
After that, you'll still be able to use Word, Excel etc but only to read files, it won't let you edit or create new ones or print etc.
