Surgeons wear them so they do not spit or cough or anything all over patients, not to protect themselves against anything. You have not needed cloth over your face to keep you safe from seasonal flu have you, so why start now? And a face mask isn't special, you could use a scarf if you must act like Michael Jackson. |
