| 1463614 | 2019-09-06 05:29:00 | I've been trying to remove avast av as above. but it refuses to go, & clutters up everything. I've tried several programs but they seem to freeze. what's going on?? thanks for any help. don gordon. |

| 1463615 | 2019-09-06 05:59:00 | Have you tried their own removal tool ? www.avast.com Normally I'll use revo uninstaller in Advanced mode, which allows you to scan and remove all files, folders and reg keys, then run the removal tool afterwards. |

| 1463616 | 2019-09-08 00:02:00 | I use IObitUninstaller which seems to be very good a detecting residual or leftovers I used Avast briefly in 2012 then got rid of it. Various forums posts seems to have a history of struggles trying to remove Avast. Silly really (by Avast) because such antics arouse resentment. |
