| 1463503 | 2019-09-05 20:57:00 | Your Corsair MP300 NVMe SSD does seem to be faulty, I think you said it was still under guarantee so why not return it for a new one. zqwerty hi ...... As for returning the drive, I can try it. I was hesitant to do so for the reasons I stated in earlier comment I posted, I do not know what is at fault, is it the drive, the W10 Op Syst, the BIOS/UEFI or the Mobo. As the BIOS and MOBO seem to be ok because there was no problem installing the new Intel 660P Series 512B M.2 NVMe SSD, loading W10x64 v1903, updating Windows and installing/deleting files apps/etc and booting into the drive to get W10 opened to usable. So of the 4 things I thought could be the reason for the Mp300 not booting I only now have the OS on it is corrupted. As I have all new Op Syst on the Intell SSD, and dis the tests with that installed as well as the MP300, I cannot understand why it is saying that the Format / Disk wipe of the MP300 is being prevented because its' "Being used by another process, program" or the "Sharing Violation" or "error occurred while writing partition chains on disk" So, as the MP300 is not in use or usable at all, I may as well send it back to the supplier I bought it from ad see if they can either find and fix the problem or supply a replacement. cheers |

| 1463504 | 2019-09-05 21:14:00 | Not sure if this adds anything? forums.tomshardware.com apsattv hi. interesting subject in the link you supplied. Unfortunately, I am attempting to get an NVMe SSD to boot into Windows and has all required Partitions on it, wipe or format the SSD disk The MP300 refuses to boot open W10, refuses to be altered/fixed yet I can access it from open Windows installed onto another drive running as C Drive, and all tests on it have reported the drive is hunky dory. Some joker in the pack has been let loose to cry havoc :D I will be sending it back to store I bought it from to see if they can fix it or replace it. cheers |

| 1463505 | 2019-09-05 21:55:00 | I cannot understand why it is saying that the Format / Disk wipe of the MP300 is being prevented because its' "Being used by another process, program" If the computer is booted from a bootable CD or USB ( I always prefer CD) containing partition software as its been mention, really there shouldn't be a problem unless the drive is faulty. With ONLY the problem drive ( and Optical Drive) NO Other drives then it should be able to wipe the drive as windows is not actually running anywhere on the drive. BUT have ANY other Drive attached as well and it can cause the message you are seeing. For any drive to be replaced under warranty, usually unless its obvious there's a fault ( like fried chips) then they would first try to erase it, and then test if they do manage to delete everything. I'm actually about to get an adapter so It can use a m.2 drive as external or testing, something like that may suit yourself. |

| 1463506 | 2019-09-05 22:21:00 | There is one thing I have noticed since I have been using W10 I installed to the Samsung Evo 860 SSD, the Time to get opened to Log in screen is almost 2 minutes... about 1 minute is the Asus Mobo splash screen that has text reads "Press F2 or Del to enter UEFI/BIOS. I press F8 to choose the Boot option to open the Samsung SSD. I also have the same happening with only the Intel 660P Series 512B M.2 NVMe SSD connected to Mobo. The Intel 660P Series 512B M.2 NVMe SSD is a faster Read/Write disk than was the Corsair Force MP300 M.2 NVMe SSD, but when the MP300 was working, I never saw the Asus Screen and from Power on of computer to Log in time was 10 seconds. I wonder why that is happening. After the fast getting into Windows to which I had become accustomed, the long waiting with F8 key held down is a real PITA. Fast Boot is enabled in BIOS (UEFI) Just thought I'd mention it. Not asking for advice as if it is a thread in itself. |

| 1463507 | 2019-09-05 22:58:00 | wainuitech hi. Yep I have disconnected all other drives bar the optic drive when I have tried to instal Fresh W10 to the M.2 MP300 SSD.I have also tried to instal W10 to the MP300 with the Samsung SSD connected. Always same result, will not install/wipe the MP300 to install, says its GPT and W10 has to be installed to MBR partition Table disk.as I said very early in the thread. I will do the test again with the Bootable WINPE of Easeus Partition Master and have only the MP300 SSD, Optic drive and the USB with WINPE on it. I will have a look for a blank CD first and burn Easeus WINPE to it. I do have blank DVD's and could use one of them. With only the MP300 / Optic drive connected, I will also try GParted to see what they may show re: the MP300 drive. I do have Knoppix v 7.7.1 but I am not too familiar with it. As for the adapter to enable external testing of M.2 drives, that would be a boon right now because removing the MP300 involves removing the Radeon Sapphire GPU and then the MP300... not to difficult but its getting that miniature retaining screw for the M.2 drives back in place is the curse word arouser. I don't have a magnetic crosshead screw driver, so to keep the screw attached to the screwdriver, a minuscule dab of margarine does the job perfectly :D Oki doki...here goes. I will be back on 15-30 mins with the results and probably some sub-standard pics taken with mobile phone camera. |

| 1463508 | 2019-09-05 23:01:00 | Try taking ownership of the drive Corsair MP300 NVMe SSD before wiping it. Dis-enable Fast Boot then try it before re-enabling it again if you wish. |

Its really strong & you can use it to magnitise your screwdrivers . That magnet is also great for finding dropped tiny screws . |

Finding a screw that holds a case panel is hard enough if it hits the carpet and bounces as they always do, finding a nook under an armchair or somewhere really convenient to cause headache! |
