Well that's a bloody good idea.

1468373 2020-04-30 21:31:00 I disagree. Why is it?
If you don't have insurance and cause an accident, the other parties insurance chase you for the money - meanwhile paying out the their client.
Or if not at fault, sad for you, you're stuck with paying for repairs or a new car.

So, why does it matter?

Well what about two uninsured parties?

One is clearly in the wrong.

The innocent party is stuck with pursuing the guilty party through the courts at huge expense and may never get a cent because the guilty party has no money, which may have been the very reason neither party was insured.

I’m all for the Aussie system.

What about them? They're idiots for not having insurance int eh first place aren't they .
So that's their problem .

Uninsured people don't go through courts . . . . . . . . .

1468376 2020-05-01 02:15:00 Getting back to the ripped off topic. Napier is running a Buy Local campaign. They refuse my comments despite asking for opinions. Which were I would if I could.

We don't have a Countdown Pharmacy here nor Chemist Warehouse, so to save $60+ I have our prescriptions sent to Auckland and get them by courier.

I got meat recently, the most expensive butcher of the lot was Hawkes Bay. $59.95kg schnitzel.

I got it for $17kg. Auckland again.

I could go on...listing prices for stuff here. Even the washing machine, if we had bought local $1123, instead of the $849 we paid from Hamilton store.

Sure buy NZ, but not when we are being ripped off.

1468377 2020-05-01 05:19:00 I will buy local if its made local but if I'm buying something made overseas I will see who has the lowest price. gary67 (56)
1468378 2020-05-01 06:01:00 gary67, how is the pricing at the Hot Pools, now that it's not crowded with tourists' and are you paying any less?.

Used to love driving there in the olden days and paying a reasonable entrance fee/day and frequent visits charge.

Took the son and his fiancee one time when it was snowing and that was quite an experience.

1468379 2020-05-01 06:09:00 Port Ahuriri in Napier used to provide pretty reasonably priced fish products and the best fish & chips ever were in Clive.

When we lived in the Bay, it was always that we had the best beef and Canterbury had the best lamb.

Talking about sheep, it's a shame we went from 80,000,000 sheep to 30,000,000, because the Yanks are running short of meat.
