1463077 2019-08-15 22:12:00 It was announced that MS have found another RDC (remote desktop) vulnerability , and recommend Win updates be installed ASAP to patch it

Only issue is, the update/patch wont install on most of the Win7 PC's I looked at yesterday (only installed on 1 of many) :badpc: :badpc:
More fantastic updates testing from MS . Winding down putting any effort into win7 support a bit early perhaps ?

Anyway, update your PC's if you use RDC . At least attempt it if still on 7

Its not just Win10 that had the flaw, as reported by sites that never fact check :badpc:

1463078 2019-08-16 07:13:00 So whats new? This has gone on since Windows was first created.
And will continue until it's dead.

And in all the time I used Windows, and never patched it, I never got malware either.

I did run things like firewalls, antimalware and most of all, common sense.

1463079 2019-08-16 07:59:00 MS, Apple, Android even Linux can have vulnerabilities so why does everyone bash MS when all systems can and do have these issues? gary67 (56)
1463080 2019-08-16 21:24:00 because MS make such a big fuss about it and force updates on you perhaps?
At least with Linux you get the choice what bits to update - or not.

1463081 2019-08-18 22:10:00 because MS say you MUST install this urgent patch NOW .

Then that patch doesnt even work(wont install) on many PC's (and servers) ... ie they didnt bother to test it

1463082 2019-08-18 23:20:00 MS, Apple, Android even Linux can have vulnerabilities so why does everyone bash MS when all systems can and do have these issues? Because MS are an easy target. Its the same ol thing, the people that bash a certain business (whom ever it may be) often actually work with their products, and seem to forget that it may be their income gone if everything was perfect.

Statements like "they didnt bother to test it"

:tui:

Of course they do, the people who make statements like that should know that not everything can be tested for every piece of hardware / configuration. I've just checked 3 of my HP servers for the remote patch, no problems what so ever.

In fact they auto installed on their own on the 15th.-- Oh wait it doesn't work according to some, maybe you just need good hardware ;)

1463083 2019-08-18 23:42:00 wai you are right there, one of the reasons TRUMP wants to make America "great again", where have they been getting most of their raw materials from?.

Same country who now controls "Earths'" minerals, all that scarce stuff they put into computer boards'.

To fix Outlook Mail, which my pc guru says is stuffed for want of repairs, he has gotten moi to use the APP on W10, instead of!!, Outlook Mail hasn't been sending/forwarding on full email content, I will say that MS recognizes this in their quick response email, which I forwarded onto technician.
