1249115 2011-12-17 02:27:00 Hi all.

Just went to install DrDivX on windows 7 ultimate and get errors on install and just read on net that it dont like windows 7.

I have used the software for years and love it. love how you can set the output mb size.

Any other programs like it that are newer and will run on windows 7 ultimate 64bit?

Thanks

1249117 2011-12-17 03:56:00 I've been using Handbrake for a few years, after using DrDrivx, and find it is much better.
It's free too.
It doesn't do xvid / divx files though, it does mkv / mp4.

1249118 2011-12-17 06:51:00 +1 for what CYaBro said, use Handbrake. DrDivX just *doesn't* play nice. I bought it years back, but long-since ditched it for Handbrake... Chilling_Silence (9)

1249120 2011-12-17 10:13:00 Autogk works fine on win7 but handbrake is better if you don't need Xvid / DivX. I use both, handbrake for myself and Autogk for friends who can't play mp4's dugimodo (138)
