1248989 2011-12-16 21:49:00 I have a system here running win7.
Settings all apear to be default win7
It has shortcuts to favorites for, Press F1, Trade Me, Google Maps & White Pages.
The unique icons for all of them have changed to a world globe.
I deleted & re-instated 2 of them but they just show up as the std Blue Explorer.
There are also shortcuts to various apps but they all appear normal.

1248991 2011-12-17 23:46:00 What did you just install? Paintshop Pro? Corel, Photoshop?
That will cause it.

Download download.cnet.com it has a repair icons feature.

or You can right-click on any of the icons, click on Open With | Choose Default Program, and then select the app you want to open the file with. It's because the program - photoshop or whatever - has that file extension associated with itself, within the program.

1248992 2011-12-18 01:10:00 None of those programs are installed.
This is a fresh full installation on a new hard drive.
The desktop & favorites were inported from the old hard drive.
They turned up that way when they appeared on the new desktop.
All the system icons are correct.

1248993 2011-12-18 06:03:00 The icons (called favicons) reside in your temporary internet folder. To get them back, revisit each website and create a new desktop short cut. Jen (38)
1248994 2011-12-18 19:23:00 Already tryed that.
Just tryed reseting program access & computer defaults.
When I clicked on ok, the "vavicons" breifly changed then went back to the globes.
Also it won't stay on the Microsoft windows setting, reverts to custom when I click on ok.
