| 1248821 | 2011-12-15 21:06:00 | OK ... so I downloaded a patch for a programme from what I thought was a safe site. When I opened the WinRAR file MSSE popped up, warned me and asked if I wanted to clean the computer and I said yes. The keylogger was removed successfully .... along with the Patch. for MSSE Now I was doing this at 1.30am this morning so decided to try something even though I knew it would infect my computer ... I installed the patch into the programme and it did what it was supposed to, then I scanned with MSSE and it found the keylogger easily and removed it ... the patch still doing it's job within the programme. Being a bit suspicious, I then ran every other Anti spyware/adware/malware in my toolkit as well as an online NOD32 scan and found nothing ... the programme it patched is working fine doing what it should. Now my question is ... is it safe to keep the compressed file with the keylogger on my computer as I will have need to use it in the future ? And sorry ... can't give you info on programme or download site. |
