sunday we lost all of the sky channels. resort back to VHF.
don't think we go for Freeview given that they have Sky Digital non-HD. And our TV is still CRT.

1223689 2011-08-16 07:01:00 You can still get FV. Just buy a FV receiver. I dont have a LCD TV either. I just stream FV from this to the Xbox, to the TV Speedy Gonzales (78)
1223690 2011-08-16 07:05:00 not sure if they would use it much cos they have their paid foreign channels via sky. there is also the uhf expense or maybe a splitter attaching to the sky dish and the FV deck. Nomad (952)
1223691 2011-08-16 07:12:00 Well you cant connect UHF freeview to satellite. Since they dont have the same channels anyway. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1223692 2011-08-16 07:26:00 i was meaning ..

new uhf aerial + uhf deck. or
sat FV deck and split the sky cable so both sat FV and sky deck gets it..

but i don't think they would use it much. i think on std sky we get a few more channels already like racing, parliament, prime, 1-4, and a few others ...

1223693 2011-08-16 07:33:00 Doesnt Sky sat get most of the satellite FV channels anyway? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1223694 2011-08-16 07:34:00 Our freeview was down so no Prime news then remembered to switch to the aerial bit snowy but watchable. Then the FV came back just before the TV3 news at 6 gary67 (56)
1223695 2011-08-16 08:07:00 Can you use a UHF freeview box with a crt tv?

As that would be easier for me than having to hook it up to our sky disk.

The aerial plug in my wall connects to UHF and VHF aerials on the roof.
