1223047 2011-08-14 02:05:00 They look a better phone than Nokia but Nokia has voice guidance for free. But HTC's $4US per 30 days is affordable. In NZ I have a Navman.

If you are typing and need accuracy like street addresses or foreign words, how accurate are keyboard vs virtual keyboards?
Your views between the Desire HD Z (with keyb) vs Desire HD. The Z is 3.7" screen with keyb and is cheaper. The other has a 4.3" screen without keyb.
With HTC Locations do you know what routing do you get? Is it just a summary text screens of the turns and stuff? Are those text prompts real time? Do you get a journey line that you can follow? Or do you need the premium service?

1223048 2011-08-14 03:56:00 Don't worry about routing got that sorted but do anyone know if the premium service. Is the 30 day voice guidance deal to be each for each map or can I use any map in that time period? Nomad (952)
1223049 2011-08-14 09:16:00 Just use Google nav which has a voice guide.

1. HTC keyboards are somewhat notorious for amusing autocorrects. Then again, what OS has a perfect virtual keyboard? Accuracy is pretty good, if you're talking pressing the right key, as long as the screen size is large enough (say 3.2in or greater).

2. I haven't tried the Desire HD Z (though I want to), but the screen size of the Desire HD makes accurate typing easy to achieve (wider key placement, larger keys).

3. I thought that HTC introduced turn by turn with Android 2.3? GPS is not my area of expertise.

Text prompted turns are free but voice guidance requires a premium subscription.
