You need a UHF aerial tho (I think). Not a VHF aerial Yup, we have a UHF aerial, as otherwise i wouldn't be able to get Prime and the local dunedin channel. and i can easily see the UHF aerial on the top of our house too. Assuming that FV broadcasts UHF in your area then you should but of course it won't be HD. Actually hooking up a FV sat box is dead easy if you had sky just straight swap, scan and watch Freeview does broadcast UHF where i live (Mosgiel, dunedin) as our friends have freview UHF and its in HD and looks bloddy good. My parents have sky (im 15) in the lounge (living room) in which i have a huge av cable running out the back of it into my room so i can watch it in my room. I think it'll just be easier to go the UHF route, as i can just use my existing aerial that plugs into the wall to the UHF and VHF aerials on the roof. And i don't expect it to be HD, i'm happy for it to be standard definition. Question for anyone: Where can i find the cheapest UHF freeview reciever in Dunedin? (probably gonna buy one with my xmas money). |
