Ummm no, they recommend the iPad they don't force you to buy it last I saw. If everyone is on at once could it block the undesirable sites and p2p traffic? Yes....firewall/proxy don't just stop working once you get to a certain number of users. |

How would the US law firms chasing copyright violations find out? Wouldn't all the file transfers be within the school? One or other of the students must have the internet backed up by now. |

No but they can grind to a halt when you're managing large numbers of users and doing a large amount of filtering. Large enterprise firewalls differ greatly from the end-user / consumer / soho-grade stuff. So, they've gotta have a captive portal that logs the username / password of each user on each device at the time it gives the IP Address out. It's not difficult. |
