| 1223200 | 2011-08-14 22:33:00 | First morning I've actually had to wear a coat walking to work. nice to have some actual cold... Coat!!! I even wore a woolly hat this morning! Should have worn gloves too - hands just thawing out. Ferry services from Birkenhead were cancelled this morning, but I went down on the off-chance - managed to get one across to town, but it was a wild ride! Think I'll do an hour's work and head back to the ferry with the laptop and work from home for the rest of the day.... We had hail at home several times after I woke up this morning at 6 am and at least once during the night. |

Funny that NZ can have such weather extremes such a short distance away! You obviously didn't take those pics since there pointing the wrong way :devil It can't be cold I will be cycling to physio again today in about an hours time since it is such a nice sunny day here |

| 1223206 | 2011-08-14 23:06:00 | No snow up in Whangaparaoa but it is very cold overlooking the ocean. Think I will stay in my room with the cat on my lap and my pcs working hard and also keeping the room warm at the same time. |

I ended up driving to the station, although the heater didn't warm up in time :p It was bloody cold waiting for the train as well, glad the carriages are heated and air conditioned... though it felt a bit warmer in the city. |
